hello!

We are two New Yorkers – Frances & Lissa – who loves to take photos and blog to our heart's content. We hope you enjoy your visit here. Please feel free to check out our other blogs listed below.

Frances D is a Native New Yorker, in her fifties, and determined to make the most out of the second half of her life. She's been online and blogging since 1998. In 2013 she moved from her small Manhattan studio to a house in Cape Cod, MA. Quite a change for someone who can't drive or even ride a bike. But the kids have cars, there's a bus line, and she's got two feet, so she'll do just fine.

Frances's family put together a creativity room for her, there's also a desk in the den for her computer. One of the items on her bucket list is to publish a book, a play, a poem, and a song. Another is to start a women's empowerment group. Maybe this is the year.

Other activities she loves include; writing in paper journals, striking up conversations with strangers, reading, and movies.

Her daughter, Josephine, a leukemia survivor, is her personal hero.

Lissa is a camera-toting dreamer who does not like to write about herself even in the third person. When she was young, she wanted to be a musician or at least someone who can play the piano or guitar and be able to brag about it but sadly she did not succeeded.

Like most families, she was encouraged to get an education in which she could acquired a job that pays the bills. However, that did not squashed her creativity. She is forever, starting one creative project after another and even if she never finish any of them, she is fine with that. She is equally delighted to work on the daytrippers with her blog buddy, Frances.
